Kimi wins Australian Grand Prix in a Ferrari

I remember writing last year that Kimi would win the driver's championship and, McLaren the constructors'. But things haven't gone well for either of them. Kimi going through another year of bad luck with an unstable car and McLaren not being able to build a car that would last an entire race.

This year Kimi will get his due. No one but God can stop him. Ironically he will in be in Ferrari reds rather than silvers of McLaren. All the fans of Kimi and McLaren will be torn to choose the team they want to support. It would have been great to see Kimi winning it with McLaren. But who cares.

If today's race is anything to go by, it will not be easy for Ferrari to win constructors' although they have two great drivers. Alonso is pretty strong finishing second today and debutant Hamilton made evrybody sit up and take notice of him. It's a dream start for him and it's unfortunate that he finished behind Alonso whom he was leading for many laps. Whatever doubts one had about the rookie driver of McLaren would clearly have vanished after the race.

Defending champions Reanult seem to have run out of steam and it may well be a two-way title war between Ferrari and McLaren. It will all come down to stability of the car and consistent performances of the drivers.

So get ready for yet another exciting F1 season. I am going to cheer for Kimi all the way. It's so tempting to choose Ferrari just for Kimi, but let's see.
