Old fox does it again

As we are contemplating whether we have the seen the best of Schumi, he wins his home race at Nuerburgring putting an end to all the spuculation. It signifies the sheer motivation of schumi even after seven championship victories. And also made the critics eat their words.

It was that very typical Schumi at work when Alonso went into second pit stop. He lapped two fastest laps with no cars in front and went in for his pit stop and came out to claim his position as number one. What a well-executed pit strategy that was!! Hats off to Ferrari. They have proved yet again that they are well above the opponents when it comes to strategies. It was gladdening to see vintage Schumi firing on all guns as Alonso went into pit lanes.

Kimi put up a strong fight but he was run of time(laps) to get better of Massa, who did a great job of getting six points for the team and himself. No wonder, he celebrated it. I am still betting on Kimi to be champion of 2006 season. He needs little more luck and I hope he doesn't need to change his engine and drop 10 positions often. Montoya disappointed one more time by not finishing the race. He is becoming a fine example of a wasted talent. I expect him to win some points for McLaren to clinch the constructor's championship.

Alonso--defending champion and also my favourite after Kimi-- proving one more time that his victory in 2005 was no flash in the pan with finishing second and staying at top after five races of the season. I will be surprised if he does not finish in top two. It has been a great job of defending the title so far.

I am supporting McLaren and Kimi to bag both constructor's and driver's championships. I hope they do it but it looks very difficult with Schumi writing a revival of Ferrari. And I will not be sad if Schumi beats Kimi, I guess he deserves it.

It's going to be one hell of a season, a gentle reminder if you haven't realised yet. The way Alonso, Schumi and Kimi are getting on their job suggests it will be an exciting season and title could be anybody's. Fasten your seat belt and enjoy the race.
