Barca's Season Hangs In Balance

It's going to be a very important week in League and also in Champions league for Barca. They host Arsenal on Tuesday night and EL Classico with Real Madrid at Bernabeu on weekend. These two games could probably define Barca's season and potentially decide if Barca are going to win silverwave.

Despite the weekend 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao, Barca have to pay special attention to their defence and play at their very best to win these two crucial games. And they have to do this without some important players. Puyol and Pique are suspended for the return leg with Arsenal. Iniesta is still out injured, Ibrahimovic will also miss this game and he is a major doubt for Madrid game. Yaya Toure sustained injury in Athletic's game and will certainly miss Arsenal game. It seems Pique also picked a knock on weekend, hopefully he will recover in time for El Classico. Henry or Bojan will play as centre forward in Arsenal game unless Pep decides play Messi at centre. Henry didn't look very good and didn't look in form at Emirates. It's all up to Pep who he will play and won't.

All this doesn't bode well for Barca who do not have a big squad and will have to fight hard like last season when they weathered similar situation. Had they managed to keep the initial 2-0 lead against Arsenal, things would have much easier for Barca in CL. Now they have to do it all again without a host of first-team players.

I hope they will prevail.
