Barca IPL Elections

And the inevitable happens. Barca are the Spanish Champions again, and deservedly. Oh, what an understatement-- that deservedly thing. Two down and one to go. On May 27th, all roads will lead to Rome. I hope Henry and Iniesta will recover in time. Pep should rest Xavi and Messi for the next couple of matches. They look so tired. The worrying factor is the absence of Alves and Abidal. I hope Pep plays Caceres as central defender ahead of Yaya. Yaya is absolutely needed in midfield. Without him Barca look fragile at the centre of the park. Pep must focus on filling the back role. With Ronaldo running up and down, it's going to be a torrid time for any defender.

Last night Deccan chargers beat KKR. Tenth successive loss for KKR. They say nothing succeeds like success, I guess same applies to failure too. Don't believe? Ask KKR. However, I feel sad for these guys. They don't deserve this.

I thought they would win, especially when 21 runs needed off last over. Rohit Sharma kept his cool and saw his team through. He was brilliant. After Symond's dismissal, I thought it was all over. My friend said Deccan would win, but I didn't think so.

Anyway, a good result for Deccan. Now, they should not have a problem to make it to semi-final.
Today they are playing Punjab XI and are chasing a somewhat low target of 134. Shouldn't be a problem.

I am at work today since noon, trying to meet May end deadline. And it rained heavily a few minute earlier. It's a pretty sight from 11th floor.

And yes, results were out yesterday. I think, we just wasted a lot of money(not that that was bad for the economy) on this election. UPA is set to come back, in AP, congress is coming back and in Orissa BJD won again. Nothing's changed. Except Left losing it's ground in Kerala and Bengal; and Congress making a strong comeback in UP. But then, that's democracy.

Update: It turned out 134 wasn't quite a low score after all!
