UK Requirement part 2

If you are reading this, I suggest that you read my previous post "UK Requirement part 1" and come back to this.

There were new developments with regard to UK requirement, which took place day before. My colleague Basu received this now famous UK requirement mail from his friend and forwarded the same to few of us at work.

The recepients of the mail were kums, Amit, Vishy, DM and me.

kums sits next to me and asked me "srikanth, what´s this?"

I told him it was a mail intended for people to have fun.

He said "It has testimonials of so may people and all the senders look genuine".

"yes, they are genuine but they were just having fun, there is no truth in that", I replied.

So kums decided to have his share of fun and replied to this mail.

"I am really surprised two days back when i was checking my bank account they deposited DKK12311. I am wondering how come they came to know that i am in Denmark and they deposited in DKK currency to my India A/C. I guess on top of tracking usage of Internet explorer they also using some GPS technology to track people from where they are using their software then they'll deposit that country currency.
Do not miss this great opportunity.
It is also Tax free income :-) "

DKK stands for danish krone,the currency of Denmark, where kums and I are located presently.

To corroborate kums theory, I did my part.

"hey kums, how come you got 12311DKK??? I got only 12000DKK. Again, they have transferred money through western money transfer. how did they transfer to your account?
Its a great opportunity and all of us should make use of it.
guys, go for it."

Upon reading mails from two of his good friends at work Amit was in two minds whether or not it was true.

"guys have u all gone crazy ??? ... does it work, kums ? :-) tell me for sure !

Kums,wanting to rig big-time, replied.

"Yes Amit. But to make the authentication genuine you should use your company registered Windows OS and IE then IT should have registered this SW with MS. Normally all our laptops are using licensed SW from MS. So i guess for you too it won't be a problem like Srikanth and me.They can track from your license serial number to company and to individual. I am not sure is it a real logic or they are using some encrypt/decrypt strategies."

Check out the words like encrypt, decrypt in this post and GPS in previous post. He worked on some software implementation of GPS, no wonder he likes to use technical jargon to make it sound authentic.

But being such a nice guy which he is kums sent a mail to Amit with a cc to me

"Hi Amit, It was just continuity of kiddish mails. There is no truth in those mails.:-)

"too much buddy :-) .. u both got me really excited bout this :-)

But it didn´t stop here.

Suddenly Basu pitched in.

"oh man i am going mad.... i checked my account and believe me I got $875..... its just about 4 hrs i sent this mail.....its from western money transfer.....today only i will book an apartment..... all the best guys...."

And then it was vishy´s turn.

"Guys, this is really true... I forwarded this to some of my friends in the morning and now my acct has gone richer by $1321, again through western money transfer .... hurry up!!!"

To sum it up, all of us got rich in a matter of few hours.

Sometimes innocuous chain mails bring in lot of fun and invariably software geeks keep the fun floating.

As I write this, I received a call from DM and he told me that they have successfully fooled many colleagues at bangalore!!! It indeed spread like a virus.
